I was born and grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana and now reside on the northshore of New Orleans. My first career was in the medical field, in the field of surgery, working as a first assistant to surgeons. I was trained by surgeons as an assistant and later worked as a national consultant to write the first certifying exam for this growing specialty, traveling extensively.
Somewhere along the way my love for art and painting grew stronger. I have had the opportunity to study with award winning artists and teachers.
I use the finest Belgium linen and kiln dried stretcher bars for my portraits, along with the highest quality oil paints. By utilizing time tested techniques and materials for my paintings, one can be assured of a work of art that will last for generations.
I am a member of The American Society of Portrait Artists and The Portrait Society of America.
